Traditional Food

 1. Café Regency

Is there something more typical that will start the day in London with a good English breakfast? You can do it in this vintage café and for £ 6. The menu includes 1 egg, 2 slices of bacon, sausage, tomato or beans, bread and coffee or tea. Cheap burgers (£ 2.6- £ 3.5) and pasta dishes (lasagna, penne, spaghetti…) are also served in case you want to eat something even more filling.

The best thing is that at lunchtime they serve a dish of the day for £ 6-7: on Mondays it is cutlet, on Tuesdays meat pie, on Wednesdays curries of the week, on Thursdays roast pork and on Fridays fish & chips.

2. Brick Lane Beige Baking

It is such a famous place that it even has a page on Wikipedia, although it has not gone to their heads: it serves about 7,000 beigel a day in its 24-hour store! What? Don't you know what a beigel is? It is a round bread with a hole in the middle, type bagel or donut! It costs £ 0.30 and you can add whatever filling you want: our favorite is smoked salmon and cream cheese £ 2.20 although one of the most typical are with pastrami, mustard and pickle. Don't think twice and sink your teeth into the beigels from Beigel Bake!

3. Battersea Pie Station

In this Covent Garden place you can eat one of the best pie (savory tarts) in London. There are the typical carnivorous options (chicken and mushrooms, minced beef and onion, lamb and mint) and a super appetizing vegetarian (with pumpkin and pecorino). The cakes cost £ 6. Tip: Accompany the meat with mashed potatoes with gravy / gravy (£ 3).
